Who we are, how we work

Our mission

To accompany every person towards the most efficient and least effortful way of inhabiting their own body and everyday life.

Why "Anemos"

In ancient Greek, ánemos means wind. It seemed the right image for two reasons.

The first: wind is movement you cannot see but recognise by its effects. That is exactly what happens in rehabilitation. You do not observe the nervous system reorganising itself; you observe a child who finally climbs stairs alternating their feet, an adult who sleeps through the night after months.

The second: wind does not always blow in the same direction, nor with the same strength for everyone. A programme that works for one person can be entirely unsuitable for another, even with the same diagnosis. Our job is to understand which wind is needed by the person in front of us.

Our commitments

We commit to three things we consider non-negotiable.

Saying what we see. Even when the feedback is hard to hear, even when it means telling a family the journey will be long. Short-term illusion always costs more than the truth.

Measuring what we do. Every project has goals written in observable form and a review date. If nothing is moving by that date, we change strategy or refer elsewhere.

Recognising our limits. Not everything belongs here. Knowing when a case requires a neuropsychiatrist, a speech therapist, a psychotherapist or an orthopaedic specialist is as much a part of clinical competence as knowing how to run a session.

The values that guide our work

  • The person before the diagnosis

A diagnosis guides but does not describe. Two children with the same label have different needs.

  • Alliance with the family

Parents are not spectators: they are the most constant resource a child has.

  • Verifiable goals

Written, shared, observable. What cannot be measured cannot be corrected.

  • Continuous training

Methods evolve. Standing still on what you learned ten years ago is a choice, and not a good one.

  • Absolute confidentiality

Clinical data are handled with dedicated technical and organisational measures, accessible only to the professional.

  • A sustainable programme

A treatment plan a family cannot sustain is not a good treatment plan.

The space

A place that does not look like a hospital

The practice in Via Campanelli is designed to lower the alertness of those who enter. For a child, that means a room that looks like a place to play; for an adult, a setting where you can talk without rushing.

This is not a cosmetic detail: a space that puts you on guard produces a body that defends itself, and a body that defends itself learns nothing new.

The centre is accessible and located in an area with parking, to make the close session frequency required by some protocols sustainable.
