What is
REAC B.E.N.E. 110 Therapy
The B.E.N.E. 110 is a medical device that applies REAC technology to give the nervous system more accurate information about what is happening in the body.
REAC technology
REAC stands for Radio Electric Asymmetric Conveyer, a technology devised by medical researchers Salvatore Rinaldi and Vania Fontani and patented internationally. The B.E.N.E. 110 is the device that applies it.
Its working principle is unusual and worth explaining precisely, because it is often misunderstood.
How it works, briefly
The device emits a very low intensity radiofrequency field that disperses into the environment. The person's body, crossed by this dispersion, generates a reflection phenomenon called the radiance effect: a kind of echo carrying information about the biological state of the organism at that moment.
Through the contact of a probe electrode on specific points of the outer ear, this information is made available to the central nervous system.
The device does not tell the brain what to do. It returns a more accurate representation of itself, and lets the nervous system reorganise.
This is substantially different from therapies that impose a stimulus from outside: here the focus is on the self-regulating capacity the nervous system already possesses.
The theoretical model
Underlying it is a simple idea: health depends on how well the nervous system is organised. When the stimuli we receive are too intense, or last too long, they exceed our capacity to adapt. The nervous system then responds with emergency solutions — muscle guarding, over-activation, compensatory motor patterns — which protect us in the short term but, once they become established, turn into the problem themselves.

Protocols
The main treatments
There is no such thing as a generic "REAC B.E.N.E. 110 session": there are distinct protocols with different aims, durations and procedures. The choice is made after assessment.
NPO — Neuro Postural Optimisation
A single preliminary session, often described as the "initial release". It consists of gentle contact of the probe electrode on an ear point identified for that specific person.
It targets the correction of functional dysmetria and overall postural alignment. The application itself lasts fractions of a second.
NPPO — Neuro Psycho Physical Optimisation
The reference protocol for dysfunctional adaptive patterns, on both the physical and the emotional level. It is backed by roughly thirty years of clinical use.
The application involves seven millimetric areas of the outer ear, chosen for their somatotopic relationship with brain areas governing autonomic function. The probe is placed on the seven points in a precise sequence: the procedure takes about ten seconds.
The protocol is repeated over time in cycles, at a frequency agreed during assessment.
NPPO-CB — Cervico-Brachial
A variant of NPPO that grew out of veterinary research, where the difficulty of locating ear points across different species led to applying the probe at the base of the skull and on the neck, with comparable results.
From there it was extended to humans: the application is delivered to the cervical region and takes about four minutes, using latest-generation probes.
It is indicated for people who respond to stress by tightening the neck muscles: a prolonged state of alert that shows in the posture of head and neck.
TO-RPR — Reparative Tissue Optimisation
A localised treatment, applied with dedicated applicators directly on the area concerned.
It is used when the aim is to support tissue repair processes: the aftermath of localised trauma, acute or chronic inflammatory states, areas that struggle to recover.
It has the widest range of applicators — cervico-brachial, cervico-dorso-lumbar, single and double multi-purpose, facial — which allows the application to be matched to the area being treated.
TO-B — Tissue Optimisation
The second protocol in the tissue optimisation family, distinct from TO-RPR in its aims, application time and the applicators used.
It uses three applicators: cervico-dorso-lumbar, multi-purpose and facial.
As with the other protocols, the indication and the choice of applicator are established during assessment.

What to expect
"Therapeutic rebounds"
Especially in the early stages, you may observe what the method calls therapeutic rebounds: a temporary flare-up of chronic complaints, or the reappearance of past symptoms that seemed resolved.
In the REAC model these phenomena are considered transitory and related to the reprocessing work the nervous system is carrying out. It is important to always report them to the therapist: they are useful information for calibrating the programme.
Timescales
In its iterative protocols, REAC B.E.N.E. 110 Therapy is a medium to long-term intervention. The number of cycles required depends on age, how long the condition has lasted and the complexity of the picture. Anyone promising immediate and definitive results is describing something other than this therapy.

Do you feel anything during the application?
Most people report feeling nothing in particular during contact. Some describe a sense of relaxation or diffuse warmth in the following minutes. The absence of sensation does not indicate the absence of effect.
Are there contraindications?
The method is described as free of significant side effects. Some precautions nevertheless apply: the presence of implanted medical devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, neurostimulators), pregnancy and unstable clinical conditions must always be reported before treatment begins, so that each case can be assessed individually.
Can children receive it?
Application in childhood is possible and always takes place with the informed consent of both parents or of those holding parental responsibility. The brevity of the application generally makes it well tolerated even by very young children.
How does it relate to ear acupuncture?
The application point is the outer ear, but no needles are inserted and the rationale is different: a point is not stimulated according to an energy map — information generated by the body itself is conveyed to the nervous system.
